An accomplished aviator and active member of the Yuma, Arizona, aviation community, Albert Gardner has spent much of his life flying, building, and working on aircraft. He earned certification as a private pilot in 1968, followed by certification in commercial flying and instrument rating in 1971. Since 2007, Albert Gardner has served on the board of the Yuma County Airport Authority, where he was recently re-elected for a third term as first vice president. He is also an active member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and the Aircraft Owner and Pilots Association.
Formerly an electrical engineer for such industry leaders as Ford Aerospace, RCA, and IBM, Albert Gardner applies the skills he acquired throughout his career to his passion for building aircraft. He previously built an RV-9A and currently flies an RV-10. Along with flying, Mr. Gardner enjoys collecting books. He also maintains a keen interest in the histories of the Oregon and California Trails.
